Allene O. Sanson, 92, formerly of Globe, Arizona, passed away on June 6, 2023 at her daughter Deanna’s house in Apache Junction, Arizona. She was born Dec. 1, 1930 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Edgar and Julia Adams.
Mom graduated from Globe High School in 1949. In September 1949 she married Fred J. Sanson. Mom was a homemaker who loved to cook, plant trees, crochet and tend to her many animals over the years. In 1985, her best friend Joey Aneas taught her how to drive and there was no stopping her. Mom celebrated her last 17 birthdays “Bee Gee Style” with music, disco balls, Bee Gee concert and Mexican food. Anyone who knew her or the family always helped celebrate that first weekend in December.
Allene was preceded in death by her husband Fred J. Sanson, son Donald Joe Sanson, mother Julia Wever and father Edgar Adams.
Mom is survived by her dog “Bosie”; sons Dennis (Cathy) Sanson, of Las Vegas, and Dusty (Marie) Sanson, of Kentucky; two daughters Debbie (Ed) Alexander, of Globe, and Deanna “Dee” Sanson, of Apache Junction; brother J.M. (Judy) Sellers, of Oracle; sister Sheila Lewis, of Las Vegas; 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; and her best friend of 86 years, Joey Aneas.
Per Mom’s wishes there will be no services. She wished everyone would go eat Mexican food and have a Pepsi for her.
Cremation was handled by Horizon Funeral Care of Mesa.
