Anthony John Riddering, also known as Tony, passed away on Oct. 22, 2023, at the age of 66 in Kingman, Arizona. He was born on Oct. 26, 1956, in the old hospital on Inspiration Hill in Miami, Arizona. Tony was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend.

Tony attended Miami High School, graduating in 1974. He spent over two decades working at Pinto Valley Copper Mine after high school and then over two decades working for the Arizona Department of Transportation until he retired in 2021. He was a volunteer at Tri-City Fire Department for 14 years.

Outside of work, Tony was a true outdoorsman who found joy in fishing, camping, watching wildlife and exploring new roads. He cherished spending time with family, road trips to Black River and cracking jokes around the campfire. He enjoyed sports, particularly baseball, catching dinner and a movie with good friends, fishing or repeatedly watching John Wayne movies.

Tony is survived by his wife of 48 years, Gwen, his daughter Erin (Dan Butler) and his son Steven (Heather); his five grandchildren and his four sisters. He was preceded in death by his mother Martina Dulski, his father John Riddering, three brothers-in-law and an infant brother he never knew but does now.

A memorial service to celebrate Tony’s life will be held at Divine Grace Presbyterian Church, 305 W. Live Oak St., Miami, Arizona at 4 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 3, 2023. Tony will be remembered for his zest for life and his dedication to his family and friends, and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in eternal peace.
