Gary Wayne Alexander was born Nov. 3, 1934, in Maryville, Missouri. He passed away Oct. 20, 2023. He retired after many years of service as a teacher and basketball coach at Globe High School. He is survived by his wife Glenda Alexander and his five children Glenda, Dennis, Sheila, Phyllis and Traci. He had 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Gary served two years in the Navy. He also worked for the Forest Service and as an EMT. He loved the outdoors, including fishing, hunting, camping and bow hunting. He was a big sports fan and enjoyed playing basketball and, in his later years, golf. Services will be held Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023, at Lamont Mortuary.

He will be missed by all who knew him. We love you, Gary.
