Our beloved Jerry passed away Thursday, June 29, 2023, with family and friends surrounding him at his home.
Jerry was born to Royce Johnson and Peggy Woolford in Show Low, Arizona. Jerry worked different ranches since he was nine years old. He became an excellent cowboy and a great team roper. He loved hunting with his dad until he was old enough to become a big game guide in Arizona and New Mexico. He was a good hunter and avid fisherman. He worked for Cemex for over 25 years, ending as a manager.
He is survived by his significant other Paula Gist, stepmother Kathy Johnson, son Jeremy Johnson and Meagan Dunham, daughter Jenna (Manny) Noriega, daughter Lindsey (Luis) Salazar, stepdaughter Lacey (Shane) Wininger, stepsister Daleana (Kevin) Cherry, and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Royce Johnson, mother Peggy Wines, sister Kim Petty and stepbrother Patrick Felkins.
There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at 584 Wheatfields Rd., in Globe. Guests will be accepted starting at 2 p.m., and food will be served at 5 p.m.
