A longtime native of the Miami/Globe area, Martha Ann O’Leary Vuksanovich passed away on Monday, Dec. 4, 2023, at Heritage Health surrounded by her family.

She was 90 years old.

She was married to Mitch Vuksanovich on Oct. 30, 1953, and for 62 years they formed many businesses together in the community, among them: MV Enterprises, Connie’s Liquor Store, Hilltop Motors (now Wreck O’Mended) and The Butcher Hook in Tonto Basin.

Martha is survived by her children, Margaret (Peggy) Vuksanovich, Dunn (Aubrey), Louis Mitchell Vuksanovich, (Cayci-deceased), and Michele (Shelley) Vuksanovich; her brother, Lynn O’Leary; her granddaughter, Makenzie Vuksanovich Harder (Scott); and so many wonderful friends whom she loved dearly. 

Services will be: Wednesday, Dec. 13, viewing from 5 to 7 p.m. at Lamont Mortuary; burial at the Serbian cemetery on Thursday, Dec. 14, at 10 a.m.; and a remembrance on Friday, Dec. 15, at Divine Grace Presbyterian Church in Miami at 10 a.m. The Reverend Dr. Valerie De La Torre is presiding.

In lieu of flowers, the family asked that donations be made to the Serbian Cemetery Association at 1525 E. Birch, Globe, AZ 85501, or our local High Desert Humane Society.
