Vesta Wilhite Lund, 91, a longtime resident of Tempe, passed away peacefully April 30, 2023 in Spearfish, SD, where she had been living with her daughter Charolyn and son-in-law Phil for the past eight years. She was born March 10, 1932 in Fairfield, NM to Harry H. and Mary Wilhite. They moved to Miami, Az. in 1942. She graduated from Miami High School in 1950, and earned a BS from Pepperdine University in 1955. She was married to Robert G. Lund (deceased) for over 50 years, and taught school at Crocket Elementary in Phoenix for 40 years. She was a very active member of the Broadway/Tempe Church of Christ for over 60 years.
She is survived by her children Charolyn Lund Mize, Carolyn Lund Haskin and Robert C. Lund, six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She loved Jesus, her family and her friends. She will be missed.
