Gonzales takes exception with Miami’s new garbage rates

CCYS Flag Football kicks off third season

CCYS Flag Football kicked off its third season last week. This season, there are 207 football players, as well as 49 cheerleaders. There are three age divisions: 5-6, 7-9 and 10-13. Globe High School football players have volunteered to be referees at this year's games. Games are held at the upper fields at the Globe Community Center.

Sonic boom over Globe-Miami

Gila County -- Shortly before 10 a.m. on Friday, an F-16 Fighting Falcon pilot from the 162nd Wing, Tucson International Airport, unintentionally exceeded the sound barrier while conducting a training mission near Globe-Miami.

Freeport to ramp up smelter project in November

Two die as result of traffic accident

Quick action saves girl from drowning

Globe -- About 6 p.m. on Sunday, June 12, area fire agencies responded to the 1700 block of Maple Street in Globe for a reported drowning with CPR in progress.
