Vandalism strikes Old Dominion

Globe approves more road work

Globe -- At its meeting on April 26, the Globe City Council approved two items related to the Highway 60 water line project.
First, the council amended its contract with Sellers & Sons to increase the owner's contingency for additional pavement. The contingency amount is $72,938 and will be paid from WIFA loan funds.

Capstone Mining has $12.8 million loss

Volunteers ‘Paint the Town’ in Miami

Couple gets probation for solicitation to possess marijuana for sale

Payson -- Gila County Attorney Bradley D. Beauchamp has announced that on April 18, 2016, 62-year-old Lynelle Chapman and 73-year-old Wendell Wade were sentenced to probation by the Honorable Timothy M. Wright.
Chapman and Wade each previously plead guilty to Solicitation to Possess Marijuana for Sale, a class 4 felony.

Fifth grade to move to Copper Rim

Water rates to increase

Globe -- The Globe City Council took its first step toward raising water rates during last week's meeting. Water and sewer customers can expect to see a notice enclosed in their bill over the next month or two, indicating that a rate increase is looming.
