Bittner named Arizona Latina Trailblazer

Quick action saves girl from drowning

Globe -- About 6 p.m. on Sunday, June 12, area fire agencies responded to the 1700 block of Maple Street in Globe for a reported drowning with CPR in progress.
Responding crews arrived to find a responsive 6-year-old child resuscitated by her mother's boyfriend. Area responders treated the patient and the patient was flown to Cardon's Pediatric Facility

Allard sentenced to 2.5 years

Gila County -- On May 23, Globe resident Keith Richard Allard, 33, was sentenced to 2.5 years in the Arizona Department of Corrections by the Honorable Gary V. Scales.
On April 21, Allard had pled guilty to Attempted Theft of Means of Transportation, a Class 4 felony; and Shoplifting, a Class 1 misdemeanor.
