GLOBE — The Globe Fire Department was dispatched to 304 N. Broad St. (La Luz Del Dia), on March 3 at 12:07 p.m. for a report of a fire at that location.

The first arriving unit reported smoke coming from the structure and visible fire inside.

The initial interior crews found that the fire was behind the cooking stove.

The fire was immediately brought under control and extinguished using fire extinguishers. The damage was limited to the stove only, but the business had to close temporarily due to clean-up efforts of the residue from the fire extinguishers.

An investigation completed by the Globe Fire Department found the cause to be accidental due to grease.

There were no reported injuries.

A total of 19 firefighters from the Globe, Tri-City, and Canyon fire departments responded to the call.
