Summer Festival draws a crowd

The first annual Summer Festival in downtown Globe attracted a large crowd of all ages on Saturday evening. The event was a fundraiser put on by the Cobre Valley Center for the Arts and the Globe Main Street Program. Hundreds of locals came out to listen to live music, play games, have a hamburger and tour the Old Jail. There were many activities for the kids with prizes for all. The organizers of the event did an excellent job putting everything together and giving the community another fun summer event to look forward to.
