Rotary Clubs to hold Backhoe Rodeo on Sept. 1

Globe — Backhoe operators will get to test their skills at tasks that require finesse, not brute strength, at the Backhoe Rodeo scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 1 in Globe.

Operators will be competing for a $3,000 purse at the Backhoe Rodeo, which will be held in the parking lot by Fry’s, behind Wells Fargo Bank. The top three finishers will receive a cash prize.

The event is being sponsored by the Copper Cities and Globe Rotary Clubs. There will be food and fun for the whole family at the rodeo, and there is no admission charge.
