Besh ba Gowah serves as a place of service and serenity

JROTC students survey the ruins of Besh ba Gowah while placing over 1,600 luminarias along the ancient walls for Sunday’s Festival of Lights.
Globe — It took time and more than a little creativity to set up the luminaries for this year’s festival at Besh ba Gowah, but for the brave souls who ventured out into the cold, it was well worth it.

By 9 a.m., the ruins were filled with enthusiastic JROTC cadets from Globe High School. The young people were out in force and enthusiasm was running wild.
