Melbourne — Global mining giant BHP Billiton, after reporting its first half profit declined 58 percent, announced that Marius Kloppers, who has been Chief Executive Officer for the company for the past six years, is leaving.
The 50-year-old Kloppers was said to be retiring on May 10 and is being replaced by 56-year-old Andrew McKenzie, who has been with BHP since 2007 and is a 22-year former veteran of BP Petroleum and speaks five languages.
