Bus issue top priority for GUSD

The bus driver shortage is still a major problem in Globe Unified School District.

Globe The Globe Unified School District Board of Directors met with a scant quorum Wednesday night with board members Anna Harmon-James, Judy Moorhead and Cayci Vuksanovich present and Chairwoman Jacque Cline-Griffin and Board Clerk Frankie DalMolin absent.

With all of the good things being acknowledged about the smooth start to the new school, there was one major concern that the district hopes to remedy: the bus service.

The district has not been able to hire enough bus drivers to keep up with its past service which means that children have to travel to local bus stops.
