Globe — More than 500 Gila County employees will receive pay increases thanks to action that was taken by the Gila County Board of Supervisors at its meeting on June 3. On average, the employees will receive 6-percent raises.
The board unanimously approved the Human Resources Action Items report, Classification and Compensation Study Implementation, which includes grade changes, title changes, and an overall payroll increase of more than $1.3 million.
The Classification and Compensation Study was done by UM Global Human Resources, which was hired by the county in 2013 to review current jobs, ensure internal equity and compare employee pay against the marketplace.For the complete article see the 06-11-2014 issue.
