Panfila ‘Panfy’ M. Holguin, 81

Panfila “Panfy” M. Holguin, age 81, of Globe, Ariz. passed away peacefully in her home with her children present, on Friday, June 22, 2012. She was born June 1, 1931 in Kyrene, Ariz. to Modesto “Rubio” Monarez and Valentina Vasquez Lopez.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Louis Lopez Holguin; daughter, Cynthia Loretta Holguin; and son, Timothy Monarez Holguin.

Panfy loved spending time with her children, grand-children and great-grandchildren. She dedicated her life to her family as a homemaker. She enjoyed listening to her Mexican/Western music, and the outdoors; camping and fishing. The holidays were also very special to her.

Panfy is survived by her sons, Louie M. Holguin (Chris) and Johnny M. Holguin (Kathy); daughter, Linda B. Robles; 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; her brother, Modesto “Jr” Monarez (Belen); sisters, Celia Salcido and Genevieve “Gen” Gale (Ron); and many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed.

Memorial Graveside Services will be July 5, 2012 at 9 a.m. at Globe Cemetery, Globe, Ariz.
