Ralph T. Weaver, Sr., 93

Ralph T. Weaver, Sr., age 93 of Coolidge, Ariz., passed away on Nov. 3, 2012 at Copper Mountain Inn Nursing Home in Globe. He was born in Milton, Okla. on Nov. 3, 1919, the son of William A. and Lury Belle (Birch) Weaver. Ralph was raised and schooled in Bokoshe, Okla. He enlisted in the CCC Corp. and worked at the Grand Canyon and Kingman. He also worked for the Kansas City Southern Railway Co. as a fireman and engineer.
He joined the U.S. Navy in 1944 and when he returned after WWII in 1946, he moved to Coolidge, Ariz. Ralph worked for AZ Edison/APS for 33 years until his retirement in 1981. He also worked his farm in Coolidge. Ralph belonged to I.B.E.W. for 60 years. He enjoyed watching football and baseball.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Murle Smith Weaver in 1995; and his daughter, Johnnie Persinger.
Ralph is survived by his children, Ralph Weaver, Jr. (Judy), Glen Eddings (Irene) and Velata Shaffer (Merle) all of Claypool, Ariz.; and eight grandchildren.
Visitation was on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012 at Lamont Mortuary Chapel in Globe, Ariz.
Graveside Services followed at 3 p.m. at Globe Cemetery officiated by Brother Gene Carter, Jr.
