Marilyn Joan Connor, 88 years old, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 26, 2014 in Globe, Ariz.
Marilyn moved to Globe 10 years ago from Scottsdale, Ariz. Born and raised in Detroit, Mich., she moved with her husband and three daughters to Scottsdale in 1963. Before retiring, she was a school bus driver for the Scottsdale School District for 33 years.
Traveling to almost all of the states in the U.S., including Alaska and Hawaii, she still liked Arizona the best and spending her summers in Jackson Hole, Wyo. Her passion was her family.. especially her eight grandchildren, their spouses and five great-grandchildren! She loved her sons-in-law as if they were her own sons.
She had a strong salt-of-the-earth sense of right and wrong; her sense of humor and love of laughter were contagious! She loved her family; they were her life.
Traveling from Alaska, New York and Wyoming, all 21 members of her family attented her beautiful graveside funeral service at Paradise Memorial Gardens in Scottsdale. Pastor Jay Petty kindly traveled from Globe to officiate her celebration of life.
Marilyn was preceeded in passing by her husband, Lawrence “Bud” Connor, in 1990. She is survived by her daughters, Carol Hinderberger (Thomas) of Globe, Nancy Adams (Russell) of Cave Creek, Ariz. and Pamela Davidson (John) of Jackson Hole, Wyo. as well as her right grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
