MIAMI — The Miami Vandal Golf Team finished their 2010 season competing in the 2A region tournament at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort in Tucson. All five players completed the 18 hole event on the same course used by the PGA Tour for the World Golf Accenture Match Play Championship. The course was very long and demanding and required determination by every player. Freshmen Jacob Tena, Callie Gabler, and Hope Hayes performed beyond their years. Junior Johnny Garcia played well and Senior Angel Holmes’s three years of experience provided good leadership for the team. Angel has been a solid player and leader on the varsity team for the last three years and will be missed on next years team.
