Globe — After a three-hour executive session, the Globe City Council returned to the chambers and Mayor Terry Wheeler announced that no decision had been made regarding hiring a city manager. He added that they would work through the League of Cities and Towns in order to expand the search.
The Council met at 5 p.m. instead of their regular 6 p.m. time in order to interview a manager candidate from Bisbee. They also had two other items on the executive session agenda. One was to work out a contract for prospective city attorney, William J. Sims III, who will return with a counter proposal for his contract.
Another item on the agenda had to do with Arizona Water, but there was no mention of what was being discussed other than it was a legal matter.
