I want to thank the employees in Miami Town Hall for passing out andáreceiving parade entry forms, Town Manager Jerry Barnes for his support, Wes Sukosky for getting the tables, chairs, and entering two Public Works vehicles in the parade, Vice Mayor Susan Hanson, Debbie Thompson, Mayor Castaneda and Sharon Licano. áThere must have been others I cannot remember who helped out but I cannot remember each person. I want to just say, ôThank your to all the volunteers who helped in the celebration.ö
The entire Veterans Day celebration in Miami was a community event. It involved both high schools and it was an educational event.
I really appreciate seeing such a big crowd at the event because it was very cold that morning. The last thank you is to the Veterans who are currently serving our country and for those Veterans who served our country in the past.
