Davis, Moreno thank community for support

Dear Editor:

Mary Anne Moreno and I would like to say “Thank You” to every business, corporation, and individual who donated, supported and encouraged us for the 3-Day, 60 Mile Susan G. Komen walk.

Because of  all of you, we were able to raise the money required to participate in the walk and get one step closer in finding a cure for Breast Cancer. We would also like to thank the many businesses who allowed us to use their restrooms and refill our water bottles during our training, including: Circle K, Fast Stop Miami, Super Stop, Shell/ Big O' Tire, AM/PM, Dave's Fast Stop and Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center.

The 3-Day walk was filled with excitement, as well as tears, as we heard personal stories of people who were fighting this disease or who were walking for a loved one who lost the fight to it. For Mary Anne and I, 60-miles was well worth the challenge, and we are grateful to all of you who supported us every step of the way.
