Brave wrestlers take on Globe

Globe — The San Carlos wrestling team opened its season with a meet on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2012 against neighboring Globe. The San Carlos varsity team only had six wrestlers competing against Globe’s 13 last Tuesday.

Individual results for the meet were:

At 132 pounds, Globe’s Bryce Durbin scored a major decision over San Carlos’ Ty Henry with a score of 17-1;

At 160 pounds, Globe’s Abel Contreras defeated San Carlos’ Linden Gustina, 12-5;

At 170 pounds, Globe’s Tristan Burgett pinned San Carlos’ Aaren Salter;

At 195 pounds, Globe’s Tyler Baxley pinned San Carlos’ Junior Brown;

At 220 pounds, Globe’s Kyle Altaha was pinned by San Carlos’ Calieb Bush;

At 285 pounds, Globe forfeited to San Carlos’ Stephen Chapman in the heavyweight division.
