Globe Council ties up loose ends

Globe — The Globe City Council met Monday to tie up some issues that had been studied during previous work sessions.

The Council authorized the City Manager to advertise a proposal for bill printing and mailing services to go out for bid.

The Council also approved a letter of engagement to contract with economic.com to provide a utility rate study not to exceed $15,000 to develop a five- to 10-year financial plan for the city’s water and wastewater services.

Under Action Items, the Council approved Resolution No. 1651 regarding an amended lease between the City of Globe, Gila County and High Desert Humane Society. High Desert owns a building which is located on city property. High Desert leases the building to Gila County to be used as an animal shelter.
