Lady Tigers pull away in second half to defeat Miami

Globe — In the first game this season between the long-time rivals, the Globe girls basketball team defeated the visiting Lady Vandals 36-28 on Wednesday, Nov. 28.

Dezirae Nelee led the winning effort with 11 points, 9 rebounds and 2 steals for Globe. Jessica Dorame added 7 points and 4 rebounds, while Mia Techau contributed 5 points, 3 assists and a steal. Marie Burshia had 4 points and 6 rebounds, and Destinee Barajas was a force inside with 4 points, 7 rebounds and 3 blocks.
