Miami school board says goodbye to long-time member

Miami — Monday night’s school board meeting in Miami was another busy one that started off with a special farewell to Board President Tom Castaneda, who will be leaving the board at the end of this year.

Interim Superintendent Sherry Dorathy presented Castaneda with a token of appreciation and both administrators and fellow board members thanked him for his service.

Castaneda has served eight years as a Miami School Board member.
