L-R: Linda O’Dell, Gila County Superintendent of Schools, swears in Globe School Board members Anna Harmon-James, Judy Moorhead, Cayci Vuksanovich and Jacque Griffin at Wednesday night’s school board meeting. Harmon, Moorhead and Griffin were all elected to four-year terms in the recent election, with their terms beginning Jan. 1, 2013. Vuksanovich was elected to fill the remaining two years on the term of Glen Robison, who resigned from the board earlier this year. Griffin and Vuksanovich are both currently already on the board.

Globe — At its regularly scheduled meeting on Wednesday, Dec. 5 at High Desert Middle School, the Globe School Board heard some encouraging news regarding enrollment from business manager Jennifer Kinnard.

Kinnard told the board that at the 51-day mark this school year, the district had a fundable enrollment of 1,648 students, up from 1,583 at the 100-day mark last year.
