Once again I would like to thank you and the Arizona Silver Belt, Bob Hollis, Broadway Christian Church and all the many companies and people who donated their time and resources to make the 2012 Hope Fair of Globe a success and to bless the fine people of the Globe and Miami area.
I wish to thank The Lord Jesus Christ most of all. His love, direction, support and influence made this wonderful event possible. After the Fair we showed a film about Jesus, His life and ministry and it was The Lord who provided everything for the Hope Fair, including the message of hope and salvation to the folks who came.
This year’s Hope Fair was held this past Sept. 15 at The Apache Drive Theater, which Mr. Bob Hollis was kind enough to donate again for the event. Even more folks attended this year than last year. We estimate that well over 100 people turned out and everybody seemed to have a good time, especially the children. Once again there was an outpouring of the Love of God and the love of our volunteers for the people of Globe.
Children played most of the day on the jumping castle and were treated to candy bars, popcorn and toys. Many people got their hair cut by our two barbers. Folks received clothes, books, bibles, shoes, and food to take home. While all of this was going on people were treated to water, hamburgers, hot dogs, cakes, pies and various other sweets.
Speaking of sweet, we were all treated to the sweet sounds of The Hallelulah Blues Band who played for several hours. At the conclusion of The Hope Fair we showed The Jesus Film, the sweet story of our Lord and Savior who died for us our sins and gave us all hope.
I wish to thank: The Lord Jesus Christ, Bob Hollis, Apache Drive Inn Theater, Globe, Broadway Christian Church — Mesa, Tom Cooper and all the volunteers of B.C.C., East Mesa Baptist Church Food Bank — Mesa, Terry Wegley, financial donor and volunteer — Show Low, The Hallelulah Blues Band, Patrick Veit — hbluesband.com, The Jesus Film Project — Florida, Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, Kiko radio, Globe Miami Times, KRDE The Ride, Copper Mountain Inn, Walmart, Fry’s Food Stores, Albertsons Food Stores — . Mesa, Sally North, Furniture Store, Patti Bocardo at Gila Academy of Cosmetology, Staples — Signal Butte Road Mesa, Vistaprint, and Sprint.
I also want to thank the people who came out and had a good time.
The Lord willing we will have another Hope Fair next year.
If so we will do our best to serve The Lord and the wonderful people of Globe and Miami.
Either way may God bless you all with His presence and salvation.
Sincerely, Katie Fiore,
The Hope Fair of Globe
