Freeport completes projects to increase production at U.S. copper mines

Miami — Out of its seven copper mines operating in Arizona and New Mexico, the Miami Mine ranks seventh in production, according to information released last week in the company’s fourth quarter stockholder’s report, which included selected operating data for the three months ending Dec. 31, 2012. A chart released by the company listed production of each of the mining operations in the two states in millions of recoverable pounds of copper shown as follows:
