Lindell Ray Hogan, 71, of Globe, Ariz. passed away on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013 at the Villa Hospice House in Mesa. He was born in Kentucky. In 1946 his family moved to Clarkdale, Ariz. and then to Miami/Claypool in 1951.
He worked 20 years for Inspiration Copper before moving in 1986 to Nevada. He worked 20 years with Echo Bay Mines before retiring and returning to his home in Globe a year ago.
Ray loved his horses and roping. He was also a member of the Gila County Sheriff’s Posse, Elks Lodge and the Odd Fellows.
Ray was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Scarlette; three sons, Brenn of Mesa, Ariz., Quentin and wife, Ranae, of Winnemucca, Nev., and Robert and Donna of Eureka, Nev.; five brothers, Tommy, John, Steve, Danny and David; three sisters, Marilyn, Jeanetta, and Francis; 16 grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A celebration and remembrance of his life will be held at a later date.
