Mexico City-based Grupo Mexico Inc. says the net consolidated earnings for all its operations posted an all-time record high of $2.7 billion in 2012, which is an increase of 9 percent over 2011. However, the company told stockholders last week that a one-time payment to attorneys ordered by a judge in Delaware for $316 million affected the company’s cumulative net earnings which, when adjusted, were reduced to $2.385 billion.
