Las Lomas Elementary thanks supporters of ‘Warm Up With a Good Book’ Program

Los Lamos Elementary School would like to thank Carlota Copper Company, Freeport McMoRan Copper and Gold Inc., and the David Johnson Memorial for their generous support.

The “Warm Up With a Good Book” program, sponsored by Carlota Copper Company, was a family literacy project. Miami High School athletes and cheerleaders served as positive role models while reading to groups of younger students. Freeport McMoRan Copper and Gold Inc. supported and enriched our programs with Mini-Grants for Education.

The David Johnson Clothe-A-Child Memorial provided numerous children with needed school clothes during the Christmas season. We appreciate the continued commitment and generosity provided by these businesses, organizations and individuals.

They have truly made a positive difference on the lives of our Las Lomas students.
