Globe — Several residents in the local area received letters from the Arizona Department of Transportation last week stating what they perceived to be a warning that their homes might be in jeopardy.
Rod Lane of ADOT’s Tucson District, and a former Globe district engineer, was at the Globe City Council Feb. 18 to allay their fears and actually offered an apology that the letters were not more clear. The letter was intended only as a notice that ADOT personnel might be on their land to study environmental issues.
