Globe PD, Fire respond to fatal pedestrian accident on Hackney/Ash

Globe — On Friday, Feb. 25, 2013 at about 5:50 a.m. the Globe Police and Fire Departments responded to the area of US Highway 60 (Ash Street) and Hackney Avenue in reference to a vehicle/pedestrian accident. Upon arrival, Globe medics attempted to render aid to the victim, Globe resident Manual Tarango, age 59, but he had succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. The driver of the vehicle, a 57-year-old Globe woman, was assessed by medics and was found to be uninjured.
