On Saturday, Feb. 16, our Fundraising Committee hosted the First Annual St. Valentine’s Day Dinner and Dance. It was an exciting and fun-filled evening that we hope to continue for years to come. We would like to thank each and every person and business in our community who made our fundraiser possible.
Thank you so much to our table sponsors. Their sponsorship allowed us to purchase all the beautiful table linens, napkins, wineglasses, and decorations that can be used for next years’ dance and other church events. Our sponsors were: Nadine’s Attic, United Jewelry, El Ranchito, Angie & Joe Rodriquez, Jonovich Plumbing, Brockert’s Bath Boutique, Lamont Mortuary, Ronnie and Steve Titla, Ben and Rose DalMolin, Guayo’s El Rey Miami, Oddonetto Construction, Miles Mortuary, Larry Abell, Maryann Kruger, Dr. Jody Daggett and Dr. Victoria Stevens, Hi-Tyme Appliances, Chalo’s Miami, La Casita East, Jerry DeRose, Tom Thompson, and John’s Furniture. Thank you, also, to the businesses and individuals who donated raffle and door prizes. Their generosity made the event even more fun. A HUGE thanks to the very talented musicians of the Miami Big Band Sound. You ROCK! Your amazing performance was the cherry on top. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Cruz Mendoza.
And last, but not least, thank you to our prime rib donors. Without you the dinner would truly not have been possible! Much gratitude to: Cecilia and Henry Bejarano, Colleen and Jerry DeRose, Dianne and Herb Encinas (who also spent ALL DAY Saturday prepping, cooking and serving with our committee, you are THE BEST!), the Knights of Columbus Council, and Luisa and Angel Medina.
Last, but certainly not least, thank you to all who attended our event. We hope you had a magical evening and plan to join us again next year on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014 - please SAVE THE DATE!
If anyone was accidently omitted, please forgive us and know the evening would not have been possible without you and the overwhelming generosity of our incredible community and parish. Our goal was not only to host a fundraiser, but to also create a beautiful and special evening to bring our community and parish closer together.
We hope we succeeded in that, and promise to kick it up a notch next year!
