Washington, DC — Tara Kitcheyan, San Carlos Apache, who secured a spot in the Wilma Mankiller Fellowship program with the office of the National Congress of American Indians in Washington, D.C. last September, shares her experiences working for the oldest and largest organization representing Alaska Natives and American Indian tribes. The NCAI Fellowship and Internship programs include opportunities to develop policy analysis, communication and advocacy skills. Tara, 28, answered the following questions during a recent interview.
