MUSD approves redistribution of students, orders district-wide mold inspections

Parents voice concern over mold findings at Lee Kornegay at last Wednesday’s Miami school board meeting. The board moved to redistribute students from Las Lomas to Charles Bejarano and Lee Kornegay pending inspections for mold to ensure the safety of the buildings.

Miami ― After an 85-minute executive session at the start of their meeting, the Miami School Board discussed and took action on the looming question of whether to “redistribute” the district’s elementary students.

After taking questions and comments from the public once again, the board voted to move students in grades Kindergarten through second (those students currently at Las Lomas) to Charles Bejarano Elementary School.
