William ‘Bill’ Hardy Hales, 72

William “Bill” Hardy Hales, age 72, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at his home in Globe. He was born June 29, 1940, in Payson, Utah.
Bill was a devoted family man, a hard worker, and a fun loving individual. Throughout his life he worked as a heavy equipment operator for several different contractors and eventually retired from the state.
Bill had several hobbies which included flying his plane, fishing, camping, hunting and golfing. During his retirement he found a new love — traveling.
He traveled the world visiting China, New Zealand, Ireland, Australia, and so much more. His favorite saying was “I’m not leaving any money when I die, I’m spending it all!” Most of all, Bill loved his family and all of his special friends.
Bill was preceded in death by his mother and father, Del Mar and Carrie Hales; and his beloved wife of 39 years, Jody Sanders Hales.
Bill is survived by his wife, Bonnie Edwards; his son, Ryan Hales; daughter, Ronda Garcia; two stepchildren, nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren, with one on the way.
Memorial Mass for Bill Hales was held on Saturday, April 20, 2013, at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 201 S. Broad St., Globe, Ariz. at noon. A Reception followed at the Elks Lodge at 1 p.m.
Services were entrusted to Miles Funeral Services Globe, 237 S. Sutherland Street, Globe, Ariz.
