What’s happening at our copper mine projects

Globe-Miami — Carlota Copper Mine, owned by KGHM International of Poland, will stop producing Sulfide Copper this summer and will focus entirely on reclamation work (restoring the 3,000 acre former mine site which consists of company lode mining claims filed on U.S. Forest Service lands, mainly the Eder Claim Group and others.) 

Freeport-McMoRan Copper and Gold, Inc. plans to stop mining at its restarted Miami open pit operations at the end of 2016 because the supply of mine-able copper ore is expected to run out.
