Marvin Horr, age 89, passed away on May 4, 2013. Marvin was born on June 28, 1923 in Graceville, Minn, the son of William and Catherine Horr. He was the music director at Miami High School from 1950 to 1966. He then returned to the University of Arizona to be certified as a counselor. He retired in 1984.
Marvin served in the U.S. Army Air Force, and was stationed at Tiniau, from where the “A” bomb was flown to Japan.
Visitation will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 17, 2013 at the Miami High School Auditorium. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Copper Mountain Inn, 1100 Monroe St., Globe, AZ 85501.
