Donald Ralph Cunningham passed away April 5, 2013. He was born on Jan. 6, 1939 in Miami, Ariz. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Carol; son, Jay Cunningham; daughters, Christine Baldwin and Diann Serna; grandchildren, Brian Serna, Regina, Amanda Cunningham, and Teonna Baldwin; and great-grandchildren, Nevaeh Serna and Kaden Morgas.
Locally, Don is survived by cousins, Evelyn O’Leary Nuttall (Jerry), Martha O’Leary Vuksanovich (Mitchell), Lynn O’Leary (Trudee), Rene O’Leary Brice (Dick) of Pima, Ariz., Wess Chambers (Bonnie) of Sonoita, Ariz., and Arlene Daly Ranson of San Diego, Calif.
Don was a longtime resident of Battle Mountain for 46 years. He was employed by Duval/Battle Mountain Gold for 34 years. Don retired in 1993 and spent 14 years traveling to Alaska for the summers and Arizona for the winters. He enjoyed salmon fishing, hunting, hiking, collecting guns and shooting.
