4-H kids have squealing good time with new projects

Claypool — Summer time might be time for swimming and playing, but for some children, it’s a time for learning as well.

Cooper, Mason, Meadow and Lilly Gore and Nia and Evie Peña, who are members of the 4-H Cloverbuds, are learning what it’s like to be responsible for someone else — someone who eats much more than they do and someone who, by the time the summer is over, will weigh much more than they do.

The children are raising pigs for the upcoming Gila County Fair.
