Globe Council tackles growing vagrancy issue

Globe — Those attending Monday’s Globe City Council meeting were greeted by the sight of a homeless person sleeping on the grass in front of city hall.

The sight was an appropriate one, as the main topic of conversation at Monday’s meeting was vagrancy, and what the city can and cannot do about it.

Police chief Rosann Moya gave a lengthy and detailed report to the council about vagrancy, which she called “a rising epidemic in the City of Globe.”
