Globe City Council runoff between Baker, Stapleton set for November

Globe The results are in for the Globe City Council election.

In District 4, which featured four write-in candidates, incumbent Desmond Baker, Mike Stapleton, Sam Palmer and Bernard Wohlforth, none of the candidates received enough votes to win the election outright.

Therefore, the top two vote-getters, Baker (46 votes) and Stapleton (23 votes) will take part in a runoff election on the Nov. 5 ballot. Any of the four would have needed to receive a majority of the 236 ballots that were cast in District 4, or 119 votes. Palmer and Wohlforth each finished with 23 votes.
