Pahe gets 3.5 years for stabbing man in downtown Globe

Posted: Wednesday, Oct 23rd, 2013

Globe — Gila County Attorney Bradley D. Beauchamp announced that on Oct. 14, 2013, 50-year-old Globe resident Lyle Martin Pahe was sentenced to 3.5 years in the Arizona Department of Corrections for Aggravated Assault.

According to Chief Deputy County Attorney Shawn C. Fuller, who prosecuted the case, on Aug. 2, 2013, Pahe, who was homeless, stabbed the victim several times while the victim was sleeping on a bench in downtown Globe. When arrested, the defendant initially stated that the victim attacked him and that he was just defending himself. The defendant then changed his story several times and told investigators that he couldn’t remember what happened because he was drunk.
