Posted: Wednesday, Feb 5th, 2014

Globe Globe City Council and City Manager, Brent Billingsley, honored the retirement of Besh Ba Gowah Director Rosie Mansour at the city council meeting on Monday, Jan. 27.

Billingsley called her a ray of sunshine and said, "No one will ever love Besh the way Rosie loves Besh." As a going-away present, Mansour was given a plaque and ring with her birth stone. Mansour thanked everyone at the city for their help during the last 15 years. She will stay at Besh Ba Gowah two more weeks to train her replacement.

Globe will donate its dive equipment to the Gila County Sheriff's Office Multi-Agency Public Safety Dive team. Globe Fire Chief Al Gameros said the equipment is just sitting in the station and the sheriff's office is in need of the equipment.
