Washington Federal Savings has confirmed it does have an agreement with Bank of America to acquire the B of A branch in Globe. The deal is part of Washington Federalís pending acquisition of 23 small branches of Bank of America; 13 of which are in the state of Nevada along with 10 here in Arizona, including Globe.
With headquarters in Seattle, Wash., Washington Federal has 235 branches in eight western states. The completion of the sale is awaiting regular approvals. The buyer expects to close the deal and transition the branch and its accounts to Washington Federal the weekend of May 2-5. The impacted bank can expect to receive notice from Bank of America around March 19.
