Miami — A number of resolutions n relation to the new sewer system were passed at the Miami Town Council meeting on June 23.
Councilman Michael Black, who has a history of voting negatively to anything to do with the sewer system, continued with his pattern Monday by voting against five resolutions.
This caused Mayor Rosemary Castaneda to comment, “Councilman Black doesn’t want a sewer.”
As the council prepared to go into executive session to discuss another matter, Black demanded an apology from Castaneda.
“I will take your apology for that last comment,” Black told the mayor. He quoted council rules against degrading another council member. For the complete article see the 07-02-2014 issue.
