Miami — After hearing a laundry list of needed improvements of the district’s buildings and facilities, the Miami School Board at its Aug. 11 meeting approved $150,000 in capital projects and $50,000 in maintenance costs. Board president Paul Licano and board member Margret Celix did not attend the meeting.
The board heard the list of improvements from Bejarano Elemetnary School principal and maintenance supervisor David Pastor, as well as IT director Sean McDonald. Among other items, Pastor told the board that:
•The district office needs a new air conditioning unit
• Bejarano Elementary School needs a new parking lot
